I have been away for three days in Washington, D.C. and came back last night scared and confused about how we are going to take off from D.C. and land in NYC with this horrible weather. Finally (after sitting in the plane for more than 2 hours) we took off. I was praying that we never did. The trip was the scariest experience ever. I have been traveling a lot, but never ever have I experienced so much turbulence throughout the whole trip.
I started reading the “Creative Confidence” book by Tom and David Kelly before takeoff. They suggest that being creative, you need to overcome the fear of failing. I was telling myself that I should overcome the fear of flying and be free of fear. I had to read the sentence a couple times because I was not concentrating 100% on what I was reading, when I finally got what Tom and David meant and then I was able to use that to calm myself for a second. Then I would look outside the plane and I could feel my heart beat racing again.
The guy that was sitting next to me had read the book before and he reinforced the fact that the book is very good and everyone should read it. His name is Brett. This helped me to go back to reading and forcing myself to concentrate. Then I would look out the window and the fear would set in again. Thanks to Brett, he kept asking me questions about how I met Greg, when we got married, what it means to live in America and be an American and so on and so forth. I was feeling a lot better during the trip till the turbulence will shake the plane again.
We landed, safe and sound. I could not leave the plane without seeing who was that man who took off and landed this plane safe and sound. I thanked the pilot for his great job and how much I appreciated what he did.
Today I woke up exhausted. However, I thought the Morning Glory teacup would fit my story. I like to start the day with a beautiful and interesting flower such as Morning Glory.
This Aynsley Bone China Teacup & Saucer set - Made in England features a Morning Glory flower pattern on a cream color background on the inside of the cup. The cup is a corset shape. The outside of the cup and top of the saucer are red. Both are trimmed with gold. The saucer is approximately 5 1/2” across. The cup stands approximately 2 5/8“ tall and approximately 3 1/2” across (not including handle). There are no chips or cracks. You will enjoy this gorgeous teacup with the smell of Honeysuckle and Jasmine as it fills your room.
