This past Sunday, Greg and I went to NJ to visit Bonnie and Father Brophy (my favorite parents-in-law). We went to Duke's farm and spent half of the day there riding bikes. It was so gorgeous out there, and the weather was just perfect for biking. We loved it.
For those that do not know anything about Dukes farm, it was initially established by James Buchanan Duke, and an American entrepreneur who founded Duke Power and the American Tobacco Company. The farm is located in Hillsborough, New Jersey and the property is managed by the Doris Duke Foundation.
The Orchid Range was my favorite place to see at the farm. It was the first building constructed at Duke Farms and our first stop. Once you enter at the range, a different world opens to you full of color, different shapes and inspiration. I felt so good in there and Greg and I took some pictures.
We left the Orchids to bike through the whole range. I was in heaven to see so many trees and plants and flowers that smells so great. I never stopped smelling lilac in the air, so warm smell and delicate.
Going from one path to another different shapes and form of trees we crossed. I was amazed to see the shape of these trees.
This was one of those perfect Sundays, all of us four together, and happy, taking in the scenery and the weather. I just loved it.
This was how we spent our Mothers Day....how was yours?
